Summary:
This morning at 7:45am the Juneau Police Department received a call that a woman had taken a welder from Alaska Industrial Hardware. A store employee had noticed the license plate number on the vehicle that the woman had driven away in and had given that information to police.

As a result of the investigation officers arrested 28 year old Juneau resident Saundra Turner. Turner was also arrested for taking two televisions from Walmart. The televisions were stolen on July 28th and July 30th. Investigators had already identified Turner from the surveillance tapes at WalMart and were actively looking for her when the theft occurred this morning.

Turner was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center on two counts of theft in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, and one count of theft in the 3rd degree, a class A misdemeanor.
