Summary:Officers of the Juneau Police Department (JPD) have arrested 27 year old Joseph Randy Dennis for sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree. Dennis was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center without bail. Sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree is an unclassified felony punishable by up to 30 years incarceration and a fine of $500,000.

The arrest stems from an incident reported to JPD on January 1, 2012. The report came in a few hours after the crime was allegedly committed and immediately after the 8 year old girl told her mother of the incident. The investigation has been on going since that report and will continue.
