Summary:On 1-12-12, at about 7:55pm the Juneau Police Department received a report of a motor vehicle crash without injuries at the intersection of Mendenhall Loop Road and Egan Drive. The caller said one of the vehicle’s had run a red light causing the crash and then fled the scene. About five minutes later, officers stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle in the Lemon Creek Area. The operator, 23 year old Johnathon Cashen, was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and three counts of Reckless Endangerment. Cashen was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
