On 9-14-12 a grand jury indicted 30 year old Juneau resident Joseph A. Allen for 15 felonies involving robbery, burglary, and theft. The crimes were committed in November and December of 2011. Allen is accused of entering six (6) different residences during the crimes. At one residence he found a woman at home with her two children. Allen is alleged to have threatened the woman with a gun and used physical force to rob her.
The total list of felony indictments includes the following:
One (1) count of robbery in the first degree, a class A felony, punishable by a fine of $250,000 and up to twenty years in jail.
Six (6) counts of burglary in the first degree, a class B felony, punishable by a fine of a $100,000 and ten years in jail.
Seven (7) counts of theft in the second degree for property taken from the residences and the robbery victim, a class C felony punishable by a fine of up to $50,000 and up to five years in jail.
One (1) count of vehicle theft in the first degree, a class C felony, punishable by a fine of up to $50,000 and up to five years in jail.
Allen is currently at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center serving a sentence for burglary.
