Summary:
On 12-27-2012 at 6:38 PM, Juneau Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Egan Drive, and Yandukin Drive. Investigation revealed a 2005 Subaru Legacy, driven by a 16 year-old male, was attempting a left turn from Egan Drive to Yandukin Drive when it was struck by a 1994 Chevrolet van which was traveling inbound on Egan.

Traffic was reduced to a single lane in the inbound lanes of Egan Drive for about 30 minutes.

Both of the vehicles were totaled. The two occupants of the van, a 40 year-old male and a 42 year-old female, as well as the driver of the Subaru were transported by ambulance to the Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Subaru was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic when turning left.
