On January 6th, 2014 at 6 p.m., the Capital City Chapter of the Alaska Peace Officers Association (APOA) will have a class on winter driving. This class is appropriate to all drivers but is geared particularly to teenage drivers experiencing the first couple of years of winter driving.

The class will be held at the Juneau Police Department. The instructor is Accident Investigation Specialist Sarah Hieb. Hieb was previously with the Juneau Police Department (JPD) and now works as the training coordinator for the Alaska Police Standards Council. She will be assisted by 20 year JPD officer, Blain Hatch, who is also an APOA board member.

The class will end by 8 p.m.. There are no reservations required, just come to JPD by 6 p.m. on January 6th.
