Summary:On 04/27/14 at about 12:53 pm, numerous callers began calling the Juneau Police Department reporting a red 1991 Honda Civic was driving erratically outbound on Egan Drive, near the Vanderbilt Intersection. Callers reported the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic, and rear-ended a vehicle as it was trying to change lanes.

The Honda continued to drive after the collision and further callers reported the same vehicle driving over the median on Egan Drive, near Riverside Drive, where it ran over a road sign. The Honda was then reported to have sped up to another vehicle, slammed on the brakes quickly, and then tailgated the other motorist on Glacier Highway, near DeHartís, prior to turning onto Back Loop.

Officers located the Honda a few minutes later driving on Mendenhall Loop Road, near Stephen Richardís Memorial Drive, and contacted the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. The driver, identified as 36 year old Juneau Resident, Travis Wolfe, was subsequently arrested for Felony DUI and later provided a breath sample of .325% BRAC, more than 4 times the legal limit.

Wolfe was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail. He was additionally charged with two counts of Reckless Endangerment and 1 count of Duty of Operator to Give Information/Render Assistance. Felony DUI is a Class C felony that carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in jail and a $50,000.00 fine. Reckless Endangerment and Duty of Operator are both Class A misdemeanors, which carry a maximum of 1 year in jail and a $10,000.00 fine.

No injuries were reported with the collisions related to this case. Both vehicles sustained minor damages and were operable.
