This is a reminder that JPD will be holding a Physical Fitness Practice Test on Saturday, 05/31/2014 at the Thunder Mountain High School track, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
The events for the physical fitness test are listed below.
JPD officers will be on hand to discuss the JPD hiring process, training, and preparing for the police accademy.
The Juneau Police Department is holding a Physical Fitness Practice Test on Saturday, 05/31/2014 at the Thunder Mountain Track from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. During the practice test citizen will be able to complete the five events that comprise the JPD police officer hiring fitness exam. The five events are as follows:
1: 300 Meter Run in 77.7 seconds, or less.
2: Vertical Jump of 14.0 inches, or higher.
3: Push-Ups with a minimum of 21 repetitions.
4: One Minute Sit-Ups,minimum of 15 repetitions.
5: 1.5 Mile run in 17 minutes 17 seconds, or less.
This is a great opportunity for people to take the physical fitness test to see whether they meet JPD’s officer hiring standards. JPD officers will also be present to offer advice on how to train or discuss the hiring process.
