On 05/16/18, at 11:55 AM, JPD detectives served a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Harris Street. Detectives located clothing items believed to have been stolen from the Grind coffee shop.

An Ipad mini and a Honeywell safe was also located at the residence that is believed to have been stolen from Alaskan Crepe Escape.

On 05/06/18, Alaskan Crepe Escape reported a burglary at their business. They reported an Ipad mini, a Honeywell safe and other miscellaneous items had been stolen.

This case is still under investigation.


On 05/07/18, at 9:30 AM, the Grind coffee shop located at 489 S. Franklin Street, reported a burglary at the business and about $750 worth of merchandise was stolen.

The stolen items were listed as an Ipad, Grind clothing, utensils, food, and other miscellaneous property.

Security video from the store recorded the burglary, which occurred during the morning of 05/06/18. From the video, a suspect was identified as 47 year old Juneau resident, Joseph Yaletchko.

Soon after the initial report, Officers located Yaletchko walking in the downtown area. Yaletchko was placed under arrest for burglary 2nd degree, a class C felony, and theft 2nd degree, a class C felony. Yaletchko was taken to the jail where he was held without bail.
