On 06/27/2018, at approximately 4:32pm, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a female yelling for someone to call the police, which was occurring in the 3400 block of Foster Ave. It was reported that the female was yelling that a male had just stolen her vehicle.

JPD Dispatch then spoke with a 23 year old female Juneau resident. She reported that her ex-boyfriend, 30 year old Juneau resident Asma Fifita had stolen her phone, her vehicle keys, and then her vehicle, a silver 2016 Dodge Journey.

JPD officers located the vehicle and Fifita at a residence in the 3200 block of Bresee Street.

The investigation showed that the female was giving Fifita a ride in her car, when Fifita attempted to take her cell phone from her. The female grabbed the phone back, and Fifita took it away again. Fifita then punched her multiple times on the side of her head with his fist. The female stopped her car and got out. Fifita then got into the driver's seat of the vehicle and drove away with the car and the cell phone.

Fifita was placed under arrest for robbery 2nd degree, vehicle theft 1st degree, and criminal mischief 3rd degree, all class C felonies; Fifita was also charged with assault 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Fifita was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correction Center and held without bail.
