• WHY ATTEND

The purpose of the Citizen's Police Academy is to give the public a working knowledge of the Juneau Police Department. The academy consists of a series of classes and demonstrations held once a week, on a designated evening. Each session is three hours in length. The classes will be taught by various members of the Juneau Police Department. The goal of the academy is to promote a better relationship between the police department and the community, resulting in a clearer understanding of what the community can expect from the police department.

• Applicants must be at least
  18 years of age.
  
• Space is limited to sixteen students.
