Q. Are mini pocket bikes legal to operate in the bike lanes?

Dear Juneau Resident,

No, bike paths are strictly for non-motorized vehicles. The lane to the right of the road can be used for the faster road bikes that are not compatible with pedestrian traffic but the bike rider has to obey all the rules of the road, just as though it was a car. The 'pocket bikes' are not street legal and cannot be used on a public road.
