Q. I heard there was a man who was getting cell phone numbers through his job and was texting young teenager's phone numbers and calling or facebooking them later on.

Dear Juneau Resident,

JPD did hear of this situation. There was no grounds for a criminal case since the statutes did not fit. The man did not reference sex or threaten anyone per the reports. Actually the only threats we found is young ladies who offered to find him and punch him in the head. No easy victims, we are so proud. This has been handled as an employment issue and JPD has been told he will no longer have access to personal information. JPD does have his name and we will be watching for additional behavior that might be criminal. This is a good time to remind young people to tell an adult if they are contacted by someone who does not have permission to, and should not be, communicating with them.
