Q. I have to ask. At these new flashing red crossing areas (Walmart/Floyd) I see people stop when the lights are flashing however, I see them proceed after the folks have passed the front of their vehicle. I was under the impression that the flashing red means "Stop" until it stops flashing...

Dear Juneau Resident,

Steady red means stop until the light changes but flashing red means the same as a stop sign. Drivers need to stop and can proceed if the way is clear.
