Q. On Tuesday the 7th around 2:40pm there were several police vehicles circling the Forest lane and Tongass blvd. area. The officers were looking into people's yards and in wooded areas. But the police reports don't indicate what they were looking for. Who or what were they looking for?

Dear Juneau Resident,

JPD was looking for a man who left substances abuse treatment against his probation officer's wishes. It was believed he might be looking to contact a family member that lives in the Forest Lane, Tongass Blvd area. He was not found and now there is a warrant out for his arrest. His name in not in this answer in an effort to avoid advertising the name of someone who was in substance abuse treatment. His name will be on the warrant list just not tied to this particular JPD response.
