Q. What does the "Out With" designation mean in the police report? I have seen several different types of reports with this heading.

Dear Juneau Resident,

This means the officer has observed something suspicious or that he or she wants to check on. The officer has told dispatch he or she will be 'out with' and then some other details. These calls usually do not amount to much but can result in open container violations, suspect or witness interviews, or sometimes a verbal fight and the officer intervened so it doesn't become physical.
