Q. I noticed lately there are "victims" names being listed in the Daily Bulletins. For instance 3/19 says the boyfriend slapped the girlfriend and has her name listed. This is so wrong!

Dear Juneau Resident,

You are right, victim's names should never be released! The current bulletin does not name any victims. On 3-19-14, there was information about a domestic violence assault but the assault involving a slap is not part of the release so it is difficult to determine if that is the case you are referencing. JPD is researching if the bulletin did get posted and then changed to remove the victim's name. We haven't been able to confirm yet if a mistake was made and then corrected. JPD is committed to protecting victims and apologize profusely if a mistake was made on our part.
