Q. Is there a reward for turning somebody in that's listed on the jpd
warrants page?

Dear Juneau Resident,

There isn't a financial reward unless the person with the warrant has generated enough concern in the community that Crimeline is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.

People turn someone in for a variety of reasons. It may be because it's the right thing to do for the community. Loved ones may also turn someone in because they want that person to get help with a substance abuse or other problem and being incarcerated can lead to mandatory treatment. JPD also has experience with people wanting someone with a warrant to be contacted when the person is sober because if the person is impaired they might do something foolish and end up getting hurt.
