Q. The neighbors on the street behind us have been setting off fireworks every day for 3 weeks now. We don't mind the noise, although it gets old when you're going to bed at 10 PM, and get woken up a couple of times a night. However, their bottle rockets keep coming all the way across our backyard, over our roof, and keep landing on our porch and cars. I was hit by one today while standing on the porch talking to our neighbor. Is there any way they can be made to fire them off in a "safe" direction so that our cars, dogs, and ourselves aren't being hit by them?

Dear Juneau Resident,

Being hit by fireworks is very serious. Since you know where the fireworks came from it would be most appropriate to report the incident and ask for it to be investigated. Also any damage to your property should also be reported. If anything like that happens again please report it at 586-0600 immediately.
