Q. How do I get to the new crime reports section of your website that was in the paper
Dear Juneau Resident,
This is such a great program that JPD staff is disappointed that the unveiling got messed up. We are live with the program but the webmaster can't get the website link stood up until sometime next week. JPD folks are crossing fingers for mid-week or so.
What happened is the vendor of the program contacted the Empire yesterday to try and sell them a link to the service for the Empire website. That marketing tactic led to a story being published prior to JPD having the link up.
Now people are looking for this great new program and it's not there! (Sound of hair tearing out). The phones are ringing, two questions through this service, the list goes on. Please be patient and check the website next week. JPD apologizes for the confusion today.
Since the program is currently live you can view the reports right now on an iphone. Here are some instructions.
