Q. I live on Crow Hill in Douglas, safely trying to see any traffic coming when you are stopped at the bottom of that hill is starting to become impossible with all the brush that has grown out in the last few weeks. Who should I contact about having it cut?

It's that time of the year! Cruise ships, fishing, and dispatchers getting exactly your complaint about Crowhill, Western Auto, Belardi, and others... I talked to the nice folks at city streets and they are headed to Douglas as soon as they finish the part of town currently getting a shave and a haircut. We are looking at later this week. If you want an update you can call CBJ streets at 586-5256.
Douglas Highway is a DOT road and Crowhill is a CBJ road. The city doesn't quibble about 'This bush is yours to trim and this is one is ours to trim'...CBJ crews are headed over to just get it done. It is a safety issue as you pointed out.
