Q. What was all the police action at the super 8 motel Wednesday night 616? It almost appeared to be a standoff but I don't see a report of it anywhere.

That was an attempt to find Rorie C. Miller and take him into custody. Miller is the guy with the high dollar warrants who has fled from JPD multiple times and is in hiding. We did not find Miller at that location so JPD is still looking for him. Super 8 management did not want him hanging around their guests! Please check his picture attached to the press release on the website. It's titled 'Wanted Person' and is the third release from the top today. Please let us know if you see him. He is probably staying away from the motel now. JPD suspects Miller is getting substantial help from others, who can also be charged, so descriptions of the people with him and plate numbers would be very helpful.
