Q. Who is responsable for inspecting the docks in the juneau harbors,the city,state or coast guard? We went on a whale watching tour at fishermans bend and one poor gravity challenged person went through one of the slats.

It depends on if you are at the city's Auke Bay Habor or the private harbor next door. For city habors you can call 586-0292.
If it's the private dock that is in that area, that is a little more complicated. It is private property and any issues need to be taken to the owner. If there is no number posted for emergencies you could check with anyone with a boat or who seems like they are used to being down there. They will probably know the owner's name and how to contact them.
