Q. Regarding the cross walk at Floyd Dryden: After the pedestrians/bicyclists have safely crossed the intersection, can we continue driving? I thought I read in the paper that you can go once the steady red lights start flashing, but almost all the drivers wait until the lights are completely off.

Dear Juneau Resident,

A flashing red light is supposed to get the same response from drivers as a stop sign. Come to a complete stop and proceed when the way is clear. When someone gets a ticket for running a stop light the language specifies that the light was a steady red light.
