Q. There are still fishermen snagging off the DIPAC dock area, in the no snagging zone, October 8, 2010, 3:30pm.

Dear Juneau Resident,

Thanks for the heads this case people may literally need a heads up with one of those weighted snagging hooks flying toward them! Those hooks look like they could really hurt.

There are a couple of ways to report an incident like this when it is happening. If someone is endangering the safety of people in the area by casting above or near where others are fishing or enjoying the view, JPD can respond to a reckless endangerment complaint.

The Alaska State Trooper (AST) Fish and Wildlife folks do fishing enforcement and can also respond. You can call 465-4000 to make a report to AST.
