Q. Is it too late to report a threat of domestic violence which occured to me on 10/28/10? I have no bruises and nothing was broken of mine, but my boyfriend threatened me 3 times with physical violence and held me captive in my own home and took my phone from me so I could not call the police.

Dear Juneau Resident,

It certainly is not too late to report it and you should do so. The delay may impact whether or not an arrest is made immediately...Alaska is a mandatory arrest state if there is probable cause to believe the assault happened during the last twelve hours. Still, the report is important. Please call 586-0600.

In the future please call us as soon as it is safe to do so. This service is not designed to take crime reports and we don't want anyone at risk because a question wasn't immediately read.
