Q. What happens to the abandoned vehicles by the tesoro gas station,do they go straight to the dump or do they go to the auction??? Need some parts and dont want to trespass.

Dear Juneau Resident,

I recycled this answer from a prior question about abandoned vehicles on private property. I hope it helps.

First you need to find the owner of the property. The property owner can request the title of an abandoned vehicle be transferred into his or her name after a period of 6 months has passed.

Here is the link to the DMV info on how to do that:

Once the property owner has claimed the vehicle it belongs to them to dispose of as he or she wants, including selling or giving it to you.
