Q. There has been a ford truck sitting across from my home for about 11 hours with the guy still in it doing nothing but looking at our place. Was curious if this is okay, making my family feel VERY uncomfortable. Have never seen this person before.

Dear Juneau Resident,

He sat there for 11 hours?! That is very unusual and if something like this happens again you definitely need to call for a patrol response to check on the guy. The range of explanations could be almost anything from a medical emergency, like someone with Alzheimers or diabetes getting confused, to stalking. If you aren't comfortable talking to the person, call for a patrol officer response. Use the business line of 586-0600. If you do decide to talk to the person you might open with asking the person if he needs some assistance. You will get more information if the person doesn't get defensive.
